Small shrub that is common across the estate, for example along Pygmy Falcon on the left of the road when going from Dirk's Causeway to the contractor's gate.Identification
- Growth: Small shrub or woody slender shrublet up to 1.2 m high.
- Flowers: Blue to pale mauve or deep purple, appearing solitary (or on very short stalks), with a corolla tube 15 mm long.
- Leaves: Obovate to oblong-obovate, 10–20 mm long, nearly stalkless (subsessile) or short-stalked, sometimes toothed and appearing clustered or in whorls.
- Texture: Leaves are covered in very fine short hairs.

This species has a long flowering season and is even sometimes seen flowering in winter.
